"Burlesque Chair Dance"

ABOUT: Chairs aren’t just for sitting on – they’re for movement and can help us captivate our audiences thorough the power of stillness. In this workshop, Gina invites you to explore the art of captivating through slow sultry chair choreography, eye gazing and facial expression. In this class you will learn: Strip tease skills, classical burlesque moves, characterisation, stage presence, poses and posture

FOR: Performers of all levels

YOU WILL NEED: wear what ever makes you feel comfortable

ACCESSIBILTY: choreography and movement based class but mainly seated and around the chair. Using the chair for balance when standing. Can be adapted to people’s needs.

ABOUT: Ever wondered how sideshow and burlesque intertwine in the performance world? Here is your chance to learn some tricks of the trade as well as the enticing and mysterious history of sideshow and circus. The perfect way to add a little more carnival brilliance to your performance!

FOR: Performers of all levels

YOU WILL NEED: pen and paper or a way to take notes (this is not a movement based workshop)

"Behind the Stage"

ABOUT: In this 1 hour workshop you will learn about what happens to make a show run from behind the curtain. Learn about how to be a stage hand / stage manager, write your tech requirements for each of your acts and all things backstage!

FOR: Performers of all levels who want to learn how to write tech notes for their acts and individuals who also want to get into stage hand and stage management

YOU WILL NEED: pen and paper or a way to take notes (this is not a movement based workshop)

"Creating Character"

ABOUT: Step into the shoes of your chosen character or persona in this fun, interactive workshop with professional, award-winning actor Rosie Roulette. Learn a range of different acting techniques that can help breathe fresh air into your performances, make them feel real and help them come alive on stage. Learn about storytelling and character creation, building blocks that can give your acts more structure and focus. Prepare for an enjoyable, low pressure environment to explore yourself and the character(s) you wish to develop through your art.

FOR: Performers of all levels

YOU WILL NEED: Bring clothes and shoes that are easy to move in. Pen and paper or a way to take notes (optional)

ACCESSIBILITY: Movement and standing time is limited to as much or as little as you personally are comfortable with.
